Disease Data

Public health surveillance is the collection, analysis, summarization, and dissemination of data for the purpose of preventing and controlling the spread of disease. The Wasatch County Health Department conducts public health surveillance by collecting disease reports from healthcare providers, laboratories, the public, and schools within the Wasatch County School District; and performing screening tests for sexually transmitted diseases/infections and Tuberculosis.

Below is a summary of data collected through public health surveillance.

 
Wasatch County Disease Summary

2011 Disease Data:

The total number of reportable disease cases diagnosed in Wasatch County residents from January 1 – December 31, 2011 was 84 (14 more case than during the same time period in 2010). Chlamydia accounted for the most reported cases of disease.
