WCMRC Bulletin Board

The Bulletin Board provides the Wasatch County Medical Reserve Corps (WCMRC) with a place to highlight news and events that relate directly to the unit. Examples of the type of information that is posted include: recognition of new members that have joIned the unit, announcements of upcoming training sessions and/or exercises, notification of conferences, and notification of new grants or donations received. 

Information is added to this page as often as possible to keep unit members up-to-date on what is going on in Wasatch County. If anyone would like to submit a story or other information that relates to the WCMRC to be posted on the Bulletin Board, please contact the unit's administrators at 435-657-3312.

 
 
Notes on the Bulletin Baord
September 8, 2010
The WCMRC will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, September 15 at 6:30 at the Wasatch County Library. The purpose of this meeting is to meet the two new administrators for our unit: Sheryl Wood (WCMRC's Operations Coordinator) and Trudy Brereton (WCMRC's Planning Coordinator). In addition, we will be registering WCMRC members on Utah Responds - the state volunteer registry and activation system.

 

September 1, 2010
The WCMRC would like to announce the reorganization of our unit's administrative positions. Recent personnel changes at the Wasatch County Health Department have made it necessary to make these changes. Chris Smoot will now serve as the WCMRC Director. Added to Chris' staff are Sheryl Wood (WCMRC's Operations Coordinator) and Trudy Brereton (WCMRC's Planning Coordinator).  We are excited about the additions to our team. We want to thank Cameron Mitchell for his work as the previous WCMRC Director and wish him luck in his new role as Wasatch County's Health Director.

 

April 26, 2010
The Wasatch County Health Department and WCMRC participated in the "Clean Out the Medicine Cabinet" Day on April 24, 2010. This event allowed residents to conveniently drop off their unused/expired medications at a temporary drive-thru that was located at the Smith's store in Heber. Thanks to WCMRC member Bea Moore for her time and efforts at the event - Great job Bea!
