Our health department puts great emphasis on early detection and treatment of breast and cervical cancer.  The health department offers screening, risk assessment, and education for breast and cervical cancer through its cancer screening services for those who qualify (see Income Guidelines to the right on this page). Clinics are held twice a month, please call 435-657-3307 for an appointment.

Mammograms are provided free of charge, if you qualify by age and income, through the Utah Cancer Control Program.  Mammograms can be scheduled at Heber Valley Medical Center as well as other participating providers. 

In addition to our regular cancer screening services, we offer the BeWise health screening program to our clients. The BeWise program is a relatively new, exciting and free program in which we perform a few tests that help us get an overall picture of a woman's health. Along with the results BeWise offers lifestyle coaching with incentives to set and achieve healthy goals. BeWise measurements are performed during our cancer screening appointments and are free of charge to those who qualify.

All these tests are performed by a certified nurse practicioner.
